As a consumer today, we are bombarded with all kinds of power words. Low fat, fat free, reduced fat, no trans fats, etc. But do you really know what they mean? Many terms used to describe our food aren’t exactly what they sound like. And unfortunately many of them are used because studies have shown that we will buy the product based upon it. In regards to beef, organic, natural, and grass fed are all terms that are commonly advertised with no real explanation given. And especially with beef, items labeled one thing and not another may mean $ 2.00 a lb. more. So do these terms really make a difference and are you getting the most bang for your buck?
